this is a preorder for the second batch of the ALUM anamorphic adapter in a limited run of 100 units assembled in nyc. we expect to ship the adapters in october.

the ALUM anamorphic is a small, experimental 1.33x anamorphic adapter designed by panomicron. it is designed with a 39mm filter thread with additional filter rings available. works best with lenses between 35mm and 50mm on full-frame (35mm format) or smaller. each adapter is hand assembled by me and shipped from brooklyn ny.

for this second batch we have switched glass manufacturers and are using a moulding process to do part of the shaping, before grinding and polishing. this process is slightly less costly, which means the second edition will have a simple anti reflective coating for the visible spectrum (400-700nm). this change also allows us to switch to an all aluminum housing instead of using 3d printed parts.

when purchasing the adapter you receive the .step files under a gnu gpl license. you are then free to use the files as you wish, to make different casings, mounting adapter options and so on. you can share them with your friends, and share the changes you make.
